Antique Victorian book chain necklace centering a large oval shaped locket with crosshatched floral engraving on both sides. The inside of the locket features a photo of an austere woman wearing what appears to be this very locket! A lock of her hair resides in the other compartment inside the locket.
The locket hangs from a 17" book chain style necklace with bolt rings joining the chain and the locket. The piece is in good condition with only minor surface scratches and some tarnish.
