Antique Victorian solid 14k rose gold ring centering an oval cut bloodstone measuring approximately 15.5mm x 9.5mm. The bloodstone rests in a crimped bezel setting with a matching outer frame. The face of the ring leads into detailed shoulders with buckle motifs on each side. Foliate style hand engraving decorates the undergallery and shoulders of this unique piece. It is a size 6.5 and can be sized.
The ring is in good condition for its age though the bloodstone does show some scuffs and scratches under magnification. The face of the ring measures 18.7mm x 12.5mm. The shoulders taper from 6.5mm x 3.7mm at the base.
The ring is stamped "18" but tests more closely to 14k gold
